Props to Pop. The granddaddy of big-box department stores, Sears has been a part of American life since 1893. Millions upon millions of shoppers have furnished their homes, chosen their appliances, and bought their clothing first in the catalog pages, then in the aisles of Sears. It’s a brand as familiar as fatherhood. So when Richter Studios was engaged for this web commercial production, we brought our best skills in making promotional videos for products and created a love letter to Dad.

Feting fatherhood. We know dads are unique, and we wanted this web commercial production to be just as special. So our casting, location, cinematography, and use of light were specifically chosen to build an atmosphere that says “love.”
A gorgeous, green location and a cast representing kids, mom, and grandparents created an early-summer feel and emphasized the importance of family. We took advantage of natural light — including a light blast we coordinated with a high point in the music — and added diffusion to achieve a soft, warm tone throughout this promotional video production. The emotion-evoking piece inspires viewers to make Sears “destination Dad” — because, this Father’s Day, “it’s never been a better time to be a father.”
