Not all projects require storyboards but those that do benefit greatly from them. There are really two main styles of videos that require storyboards: Animations and Commercials. For commercials, they are necessary to establish compositions and to communicate with the talent about story flow and the delivery of their lines. For animations, storyboards are often necessary to communicate how specific information, processes, treatments and transitions will ultimately play out. Doing this in advance of any actual pixel pushing by our animators also keeps the time required to complete a project, as well as costs, in check.
At Richter Studios, we work with some of the finest storyboard artists in the industry. It is during this phase that the initial magic happens and your video project begins to come to life. Investing appropriate time into this phase makes later efforts in the process go much more smoothly.
After the Storyboards are completed, we then move onto the Location phase.
