LAKE FOREST, IL---July 18, 2007--- As the 47th Annual Children’s Memorial Hospital Pro Am at Onwentsia in Lake Forest, IL nears its 50th anniversary, the organizers felt there was no better time to capture the event in High-Definition. With Chicago filmmakers Richter Studios creating a documentary in conjunction with the Lake Forest Historical Documentary Committee about the “past, present, and future” of the celebrated northern Chicago suburb, the inclusion of the country’s second oldest Pro-Am tournament was deemed paramount by all involved.

“The 2007 Children’s Memorial Pro Am was an inspiring event to capture,” stated Richter Studios President Jeremy Richter. “There are so many people involved in this great cause, and many of them for several decades. It’s not surprising to see how this tournament has grown over the years because there are so many wonderful and committed people involved.”

“The Children’s Memorial Pro Amateur Golf Championship has been a cornerstone of Lake Forest for 47 years,” stated Leslie Newman, President of the Women’s Board.  “Generations of families and countless friends have devoted their time, talent and resources throughout the years to ensure its success.”

Presented by Huron Consulting Group and United Airlines and organized by the Women’s Board of Children’s Memorial, this year’s event raised over $2 million for the hospital’s Pediatric, Adolescent, and Maternal HIV Infection care. Numerous Pro-Am participants that have played in all 47 annual events to date were in attendance again to witness the Board’s largest fundraising success in tournament history. Golf professionals from 50 of the top rated, most prestigious country clubs in the nation also played alongside the amateurs.
